Strategiic communication of public policies: The case of Milostivé léto

Public policy communication is a discipline that has not yet been explored much, and this thesis has chosen to examine it through the example of the government's Milostivé léto debt relief. This was a response to the long-lasting untenable economic crisis of a part of Czech society caused by the amount of accumulated distraints affecting the quality of life of the population. At the same time, the social and economic situation of citizens are the strongest determinants of their relationship to democracy, which makes the strategic communication of a legislative aimed at removing these economic obstacles all the more important. This thesis takes an approach to communication based on government communication, stakeholder theory and theory of public policy according to Potůček, and builds on these theoretical concepts with three research questions focusing on stakeholders, communication strategy and communication recommendations. It answers each of these questions using a separate method - first exploring the online space through stakeholder mapping, then defining strategy through semi-structured interviews with government communication representatives, and finally analysing the data to formulate communication recommendations through SWOT analysis. State strategic communication and disinformation - comparative study of the Czech republic and the Republic of Estonia

The aim of this thesis is to through interviews with selected experts from both countries - the Czech Republic and Estonian Republic - find lessons and/or best practices in the areas of disinformation and strategic communication applicable to the Czech and Estonian state. I will gradually try to answer several substantive questions. How do selected experts perceive the resilience of the Czech Republic and Estonian Republic against disinformation? What specific methods do both countries use in combating disinformation? Do they have practical or theoretical knowledge and skills that can benefit the other country?
The reflection of communication of the Ministry of education youth and sports on social media

The bachelor's thesis "The reflection of communication of the Ministry of education youth and sports on social media" is focused on the use of social websites in case of the agencies of general government's communication with public. The first part of this thesis is mapping theoretic findings, definitions and functions of an institutional and governmental communication and its use on social websites. Based on a delimitation of the function of an institutional communication and a setting of key characters of social media there are the basic goals of the institutional communication on social websites identified. The following chapters should provide a picture about how the social websites have been used by the agencies of general government in the Czech Republic till now, the activity of the Ministry of Education is included, as well. Government Communication in the Czech Republic: Organisation, Perception, and New Theoretical Model

This dissertation thesis titled 'Government Communication in the Czech Republic: Or- ganisation, Perception, and New Theoretical Model' is a seminal, exploratory work which contextualizes and maps the development of government communication in the Czech Republic from its foundation to the present time with a primary research emphasis on the years between 2015 and 2017. Stemming from interdisciplinary theoretical sources within media and communication, public policy, and management scholarship, the thesis rede- fines the way of thinking about government communication. It applies stakeholder theory paradigm by researching government institutions, private sector, and news media as three important actors of government communication. Analysing the organization, perception, and tensions of government communication, the dissertation thesis aims to introduce new theoretical model of government communication and provide the government, private sector, and other societal actors with challenging perspectives on their practices and status quo.
Comparison of Czech governmental campaigns and American AdCouncil campaigns with a focus on social campaigns against drunk driving

The bachelor's thesis "Comparison of Czech governmental campaigns and American Ad Council campaigns with a focus on social campaigns against drunk driving" deals with the Czech campaign titled, "Nemyslíš, zaplatíš!" (You don't think, you pay) by the Ministry of Transport and the American campaign "Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving" by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It also focuses on the bidding process and the execution of public service campaigns produced by the government in the Czech Republic and the United States of America. The first section deals with social marketing, its specification and differentiation from commercial marketing, and government communication from a theoretical point of view. The following section focuses on the Ad Council and its activities and campaigns. Subsequently, it focuses on funding, execution and results of the "Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving" campaign. Later, the characteristics of the Czech campaign "Nemyslíš, zaplatíš!" and Czech governmental communication are discussed. Finally, the thesis compares Czech and American campaigns and also suggests possibilities for the improvement of Czech governmental communication mainly in the field of funding and effectiveness.
Communication of the second pillar of the pension reform by the Government of the Czech Republic

The subject of the bachelor's thesis named Communication of the second pillar of the pension system reform by the Government of the Czech Republic and its perception by the public is to define the concept of the government's communication and the description of its specific aspects from theoretical findings. The thesis focuses on description and analysis of the communication activities of the government of Petr Nečas in the period from June 2010 to June 2013 towards the media and the public. The main aim of the thesis is to describe and analyse the communication strategy of the government of Petr Nečas regarding the launch of the second pillar of the pension system reform. When describing the individual tools of the communication mix, great emphasis is placed namely on advertising. This bachelor's thesis also includes the interpretation of the results of the performed quantitative interview enquiry, which determined the awareness of the people regarding the second pillar, as well as the communication thereof by the government of the Czech Republic. The thesis is concluded by an assessment of the government's information campaign.

The bachelor's thesis "Government communication towards citizens and other states in the social media from 2011 to 2013" is focused on the modern phenomenon of government communication in the social media with citizens and also with citizens of foreign countries. In the theoretical part is described the background of governmental and institutional communication and terms essential for the thesis, such as social media, e-government and e-diplomacy. Theoretical knowledge is transferred into practice in the second part of the thesis. Based on the quantitative research of communication of the Czech government in the social media (Facebook, Twitter), there is observed efficiency of such communication at national and international level.
